Richard Thompson’s bespoke suits are hand sewn to your desired design and specifications using the best horsehair canvas, which is washed beforehand resulting in a perfect fit. The bespoke tailoring process takes over 80 hours of tailoring over 8 to 10 weeks and at least 2 fitting appointments.

On the first appointment you’ll be able to shown the extensive range of quality fabrics, which includes 100’s wool, mohair, cashmeres and silks. You’ll then be measured in great detail, giving special attention to your posture. In the next few weeks your suit will then be cut by hand and sewn together to the Baste stage, which is a half made suit.

On the next fitting you will try on this baste, half made suit. This is mainly to check how it drapes on your body, it also gives you a chance to make any last minute changes if you wish, which is an unparalleled luxury that comes only with a bespoke suit.

The third could be your final fitting depending on the complexity of the style. You see your almost finished suit without any threads. At this stage we check all the minor adjustments needed if any to be finished and brought to you.
